 Friends of Highfield : Introduction
All the parents and guardians of children at the school are automatically members of The Friends of Highfield. Additionally, teachers and others who wish to support the school are welcome to join. The school is supported by a wide range of people who give whatever time they can to help make school events and fund raisers successful.
The Friends has a central committee, whose job is to organise the fund raising calendar and ensure we have plenty of people onboard to help throughout the year. We now have six sub-committees for:
- Fund-raising
- Discos and parties for the children
- Adult functions
- Christmas events
- Summer & Autumn fairs
- Refreshments and raffles
We hope that by sharing out the responsibilities more people will get involved, but with less of a time commitment each.
The Committee
The chairpersons are Annabel Walsh, Juliet Dymoke-Marr and Andrea Wilson
The other committee members are: Liz Roberts, Gillian Dodsworth, Paul Tindle, Rada Grkinic (Treasurer), Karen Jessup, Clare Steele-Child, Tracey Tate, Carol Patterson, Jane White and Elspeth Twigg
The Friends appreciate whatever time people can give.
We love to hear about any fundraising or events ideas that may help us to become even more successful in supporting the school.
