Policies : Attendence

The attendance at Highfield is very good. As you know, it is the parents' responsibility to ensure that their children attend school. Should your child become ill and be unable to attend, please telephone the school before 9.30am on the first day of absence. IF WE DO NOT HEAR FROM PARENTS THE ABSENCE WILL BE CLASSED AS UNAUTHORISED. At the end of the year all absences, authorised and unauthorised, are totalled against the number of possible attendances.
