STRUCTURE FOR SEPTEMBER 2012
LEADERSHIP TEAM

The Strategic Management and Leadership Team will consist  of  Mrs. Julie Colley, Mrs. Sharon Woodward, Mrs. Rachael McVeigh, Mrs Liz Bowker, Mr Gareth Potter, Miss R. Thackrah and Mrs. Jane Denton.

THE INCLUSION TEAM has been set up to support children with:

• specific disorders
• learning difficulties
• English as an additional language
• gifted and talented need

The team consists of:  Mrs. Colley - Headteacher, Mrs. McVeigh - Special Needs Co-ordinator, Mrs Heeley  - Designated teacher for child protection and Gifted and Talented Co-ordinator, Mrs. Bailey Wood - Learning Mentor.

PLANNING, PREPARATION AND ASSESSMENT TIME (PPA).

All teaching staff are guaranteed Planning, Preparation and Assessment time. This must be at least 10% of a teacher's timetabled teaching time. This applies to all teachers with a timetabled commitment, whether employed on permanent fixed term, temporary or part time contracts. They each have a contractual entitlement to guaranteed PPA time within the teaching day. This entitlement may be either weekly or fortnightly. The purpose of guaranteed PPA time is to enable teachers to raise standards through a combination of individual or collaborative professional activity.

PPA time is covered by qualified High Level Teaching Assistants and class teachers. Cover will be provided as follows:

In the Foundation Stage Mrs. Bowker, Years 1 and 2 Ms Cornish, Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 Mrs. Wood

Pupil Premium 2012-2013

The government allocates a pupil premium amount of money each year for schools to enable them to ensure that vulnerable groups of children make accelerated progress. This year we will be using this allocation to provide additional booster and intervention group work for children in years 2 and 3
