Light

Light

This morning in assembly we talked about the dark nights and how different "Lights" can  make us feel happy, excited and safe at this time of year. We talked about the excitement of fireworks and bonfires on the 5th November. Mrs Dandy showed us her diva lamps and candles which she is lighting this week as part of her Divalli (festival of light) celebrations. Finally we looked at how lights can keep us safe in the dark, for example bicycle reflectors and street lights. All the children in KS2 have today been given a battery operated light reflector sponsored by the Red Kite Teaching Alliance. These reflectors can be attached to a coat or bag and can really help to keep the children visible when they are walking home from school in the dark winter evenings.
