On Monday we reflected on how importnat it is to have a say in things and make a difference. We talked about all the wonderful ideas the children have had this half term to make Highfield and outstanding place to learn. After a democratic vote the school council decided to raise money for an art gallery area in school, a greenhouse for the allotment and some chalkboards for the playground. Our school gardeners wanted to plant more flowers around school and today we planted five hundred daffodil bulbs at the front of school where the path is being widened, and at the back of school near the allotments. They will look beautiful when they grow next spring. Well done children for all the energy, creativity and  enthusiasm you bring to school!
