Six decades of Highfield

Six decades of Highfield

This mornng in assembly we listened to music from the 1950's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, 00's, and 10's. We also found out that Mrs Wood came to Highfield in the 1960's. She remembered the hall floor as being the same then as it is today. Just think how many hundreds of children have sat in assemblies since 1959. Toby and Max Otley' great grandma was a teacher here in the 1960's which is amazing. Mr Potter joined the staff in 1989 and that makes him the longest seving teacher in the school. Not far behind him joining Highfield in the 1990's were Mrs Wheldale, Mrs Hargrave, Mrs Wood, Mrs Barratt and Mrs Bowker. They all said some things haven't changed like lots of beautiful trees and hard working, well behaved children.
