My name is Lisa Henry and I have two happy children at Highfield – Noah and Molly. I have loved getting involved in school life, getting to know the children, parents and staff, supporting the Friends and having a blast at school events. Last year I joined the Fruity Friday crew and realised how much I enjoyed giving back to the school. This is why I would like to be a parent governor. I am very lucky to work as a children’s dietitian at the Leeds Children’s Hospital, supporting families at difficult times in their lives. I have learned so much about health, food and nutrition, team working, safeguarding, dealing with conflict, student training and mentoring. I really enjoy laughing a lot with family and friends no matter what we’re up to! My husband is from Shipley, but my family is in Canada. Luckily they come see us and we have holidays in Montreal and Toronto. We are swept up in the world of kids’ parties, gymnastics, football, swimming etc… and it’s great. I love having a go at most things, although Noah says my main talent is cartwheels!
